On the afternoon of the 21st, the Hong Kong police held a regular press conference. The Hong Kong police stated that they will strictly enforce the law against any violence and will never tolerate it.

Chief Superintendent Tse Chun-chung of the Hong Kong Police Public Relations Division said that recently in different areas of Hong Kong, citizens have posted posters or small stickers on walls or some public areas to express their opinions. However, in more than two months, many violent incidents have occurred in these places, including 57 criminal cases and 47 people involved were arrested.

Xie Zhenzhong emphasized that the Hong Kong police attach great importance to these cases. Police law enforcement will not be different based on the background, identity or political stance of the persons involved. The Hong Kong police will strictly enforce the law against any violent behavior.

Chief Superintendent of the Public Relations Division of the Hong Kong Police, Tse Chun-chung: I would like to appeal to the public here not to express their opinions through violence because of differences of opinion. The police will never tolerate all violent acts. Anyone who commits illegal and violent acts, we will enforce the law, deal with it impartially, and bring criminals to justice.
